Reasonable Faith that Overcomes the World

John has spent a great deal of time sharing with us the evidence that we have eternal life and therefore, we can have assurance. Now in this passage John affirms that we who have been born-again by the Spirit of God are indeed “overcomers” in Christ! The Christian life is not to be a life of defeat; it is a life of victory in Jesus!
