The Wheat and the Tares

While many of the parables are repeated in other gospels, this parable is unique to Matthew's account. This is a simple but profound parable concerning an act of deceit and treachery by the enemy of the kingdom. This act of treachery may sound absurd to us, but not the first century hearers.
