Chapter three introduces us to the son of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, Jehoram. Jehoram came to the throne after his brother Ahaziah died from an accident after reigning only two years. (2 Kings 1:2-18)

King Jehoram did evil in the sight of the Lord, but not as bad as his father and mother! He removed some of the places of Baal worship but continued the cultic pagan worship that was established by King Jeroboam. (There was not one good king in all the daya of the northern kingdom.)
