The Eternal Perspective

Our journey in 1 Peter resumes this morning at verse 6. Peter directs his readers to evaluate their present situation by considering their glorious future. As those which follow Christ, we will face difficulties associated with the general fallen state of the world around us, but also unique trials that are related to our faith in Christ. This was true of Peter’s audience in the first century as well. Peter encourages his readers to persevere under various trials by having a greater and more glorious perspective! A change of perspective can bring about a change from hopelessness to an eternal hope.
