After 40 years of wandering, Israel is now ready to enter the Promised Land. They now have a new generation, a new leader, and a new strategy. Joshua had learned much from the previous reconnaissance mission. He would not allow for an opportunity for a repeat of past failures; so, Joshua sends in two spies (not 12) to view the city.
