Elisha, Same Spirit Different Ministry

This morning as we transition from the life and ministry of Elijah to the life and ministry of Elisha, let us appreciate the uniqueness of God's ministry between these two mighty prophets. Often, we might consider Elisha and Elijah to be "cut from the same cloth," so to speak, when they are really two unique individuals.

Elijah and Elijah: The name Elijah means, "Yahweh, the LORD is God" and the name Elisha means, "Yahweh, the LORD of salvation." Elisha's ministry lasted about 60 years, spanning the reigns of kings Jehoram, Jehu, Jehoahaz, and Joash.
