Elijah Faces his Greatest Enemy, Discouragement

This morning, we read about the events immediately following the great victory at Mt. Carmel and they are not what we would expect. There was no ticker tape parade celebrating the prophet's victory; there was no mention of the people's appreciation of his ministry, only a threat upon his life from the Queen!
