Faith in the Promise

The writer of Hebrews now briefly mentions the descendants of Abraham: Isaac, Jacob and Joseph. The lives of these three patriarchs are detailed for us in Genesis 21- 50. The writer of Hebrews has a vast amount of material he could have chosen, but he chooses to mention them only in reference to their dying. What do these three individuals and these three verses teach us?
