A Strong Warning Against Apostasy

After encouraging his readers to grow up by taking seriously their spiritual development and expanding their spiritual diet, the author of Hebrews gives his deepest warning thus far. This is one of the most difficult passages in the New Testament. If taken at face value, in isolation from the rest of Scripture, we might conclude that the author is teaching the possibility of regenerate, born-again believers losing their salvation. BUT THIS CANNOT BE RIGHT!
